F1 25, the F1 racing simulation game developed by Codemasters, is coming to PS Plus this month. Originally released last year, the game features the 2025 F1 and F2 championships. The lineup also adds the popular extraction shooter Hunt: Showdown 1896 and the third-person shooter Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2. These three titles will join the PS Plus subscription service on October 6.
Sony announced the October PS Plus monthly game lineup on the PlayStation Blog this Wednesday. Once added, these games will be available to PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Deluxe/Premium members. They will remain part of the PS Plus service until November 2.
F1 25
Codemasters’ Formula 1 racing simulation game will be available to PS Plus members starting October 6. F1 25 was released on May 30, 2025, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X. The game’s storyline picks up immediately following the 2025 Formula 1 and Formula 2 championship seasons.
This racing title features improvements to the handling model found in F1 24. It also includes updates to tracks, the MyTeam mode, and more. PS Plus members on PS5 can play the game at no extra cost.
Hunt: Showdown 1896
Crytek’s first-person shooter Hunt: Showdown is also joining the PS Plus lineup this month. Originally released in Early Access on Steam in 2018, the game—now titled Hunt: Showdown 1896—arrived on current-generation consoles in 2024. In Hunt: Showdown 1896, players take on the role of a bounty hunter, competing online against other hunters while tracking down and killing monsters.
In addition to the extraction mode, the game also features a battle royale mode. This multiplayer shooter will be available to PS Plus members on PS5.
Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2
Developed by Yuke’s and published by D3 Publisher, this voxel-style third-person shooter tasks players with saving the “Square Earth”—the game’s voxel-based home planet—from the attacks of giant enemies.
